Our Yankumi cosplayer, Glenda, joined the 6th Toycon here in Manila, Philippines last June 16. The event was quite a big one--there were several toys and collectible stalls and for the cosplay event, there were more than 160 cosplayers. One funny thing that happened was when the contestants were waiting in line, there were two male Japanese tourists. Naturally, they were very happy to see the cosplayers, but when they saw Yankumi, they screamed! "YANKUMI!!!" and were in such a frenzy which drew the attention of most of the people in the mall. Minna-san, konnichiwa! So, we attended the Mangaholix Launch at the SM Mall of Asia here in Manila, Philippines last May 19. It was one hot Saturday, and boy, were there a lot of people! Our Gokusen cosplayer is Glenda. She is a 27-year-old theater actress/stage manager, and it was her first time to cosplay. She looks like Yukie Nakama (not as gorgeous but they have the same mannerisms and facial structure, heh), and who else can she cosplay but Yankumi!
